Welcome to La Collina

‘La Collina Degli Scoiattoli’ is an organic farm with a number of stone buildings over 200 years old. It is very rural at an altitude of 600 meters, near the village of Cravanzana in the Piedmont region and within it in the Alta Langa area. The name means ‘The Hill of the Squirrels’, but we have yet to see the first one here.

The farm is easily accessible via an unpaved path of 800 meters. The site is 7 hectares and has hazelnuts, fruit trees, a small vineyard and a vegetable garden. We naturally use the products that we harvest with meals, including our own wine.

The farm is located in an idyllic setting with breathtaking views to the south. One of these buildings contains the guest house which consists of four B&B rooms with bathroom and there is a building with two apartments with a kitchen diner, bedroom and a private terrace. We have had a lovely swimming pool and a jeu de boule court built on one of our terraces. The beautiful open space of the farm makes it a great place to relax (Dolce Far Niente!) And to enjoy the sounds, scents, images and flavors of piedmont.

Ideal to visit as a couple, with your family, with the whole family and with groups of friends (up to 14 people). We are an ideal base for visiting the famous wine regions of Barolo, Barbaresco and Asti. Cities such as Turin and Genoa and the coast of Liguria are easily accessible. And of course it is fantastic (e-)cycling and walking in our region.

    Wat een heerlijke, rustige plek is La Collina! Wij hebben een week vertoefd in appartement Noce. Mooi uitzicht vanuit de kamers het dal in. Fijne leefkeuken en een grote ruime slaapkamer. Wij zijn erg goed verzorgd door Hans en Corinne en komen graag nog eens genieten van de mooie omgeving.

  • Je wordt wakker van de eerste zonnestralen die over de bergen in de vallei vallen, van de vogels die zachtjes beginnen te fluiten, in de bossen beneden hoor je een hert blaffen, een nieuwe dag in La Collina. Eerst een ochtendwandeling langs een van de vele paden die vanuit het huis bereikbaar zijn. Je hoort de diertjes ristelen in de bosjes, je ziet de sporen van de everzwijnen op het pad en af en toe schiet er een koppel herten het bos in. Na de wandeling kom je terug bij het huis en daar schuif je aan bij het ontbijt, uitzicht over de vallei, zelfgemaakte yoghurt en jam en zelfgebakken brood. De dag breng je door in een van de pittoreske stadjes in de buurt, bij een wijnboer, op een terras in de zon of te voet of te fiets door de mooie omgeving.Wij hadden een mooie tijd bij Hans en Corinne op La Collina, komen zeker terug en zijn verliefd geworden op dit mooie stukje Italie

  • Wij kijken terug op een aangenaam verblijf bij La Collina. De omgeving van de accommodatie biedt een adembenemend landschap in de omliggende heuvels. Hans en Corinne zijn top hosts! Op hun advies hebben we een mooie route gewandeld/gerend, wijnhuizen bezocht en heerlijk gegeten bij lokale restaurants in de directe omgeving. Het was een geweldige tijd en een prachtige plek om te verblijven. We komen zeker terug!

  • Ho soggiornato in un fine settimana alla collina degli scoiattoli. Posto meraviglioso con una vista mozzafiato. Camere spaziose, molto piacevoli e pulite. I proprietari sono una simpatica coppia Olandese che si è messa in gioco, riuscendoci, in questa nuova attività. Gestiscono in autonomia la struttura in modo impeccabile curando con gusto tutti i particolari.. biancheria in camera e a tavola, stoviglie etc sempre scelte con cura. Buona la cucina, semplice ma non banale, ottima qualità delle materie prime in gran parte raccolte nel loro orto. Prima colazione con torte e marmellata fatta in casa! Consiglio di cuore qualche giorno di pernottamento in questo agriturismo immerso nel verde e nella pace

  • Wat een heerlijke plek hebben jullie hier gemaakt. Kleinschalig en heel persoonlijk. Erg fijn en helemaal tot rust komen op deze paradijselijke locatie. De week vloog voorbij, er was zoveel te doen en te zien, en met de tips van Hans werd onze wensenlijst alleen maar groter. Gelukkig zorgt de gastvrijheid van Corinne, een lekkere kop koffie op het gezamenlijke terras en het prachtige uitzicht dat we toch uitgerust terug keren naar Nederland. Dank voor de fijne tijd, de leuke gesprekken, bakjes koffie, heerlijk eten, fantastisch zwembad, de pizza-avond, fijn contact. Kortom we hebben het heerlijk gehad in jullie paradijs. We komen zeker nog een keer terug.

  • Wat fantastisch om heel even in jullie droom te verblijven. Dank voor het gastvrije en warme ontvangst. Mooi om jullie passie te zien. Als gasten hebben we genoten. Het begon al met het heerlijke diner. Glaasje wijn erbij van eigen wijngaard. Wauw! Niet alleen het uitzicht is een plaatsje. Ook het appartement voldoet aan alle wensen. Heerlijk geslapen, knus en comfortabel. En daarnaast de tips om de omgeving te ontdekken. De hazelnootproeverij, heerlijke lunch-adressen en typisch Italiaanse dorpjes.

At Cravanzana?

Follow Strada Provinciale 31 until Via Ferrara. Enter Via Ferrara and follow this road up; In a number of places there are directional signs for ‘La Collina degli Scoiattoli’. This road splits after about 400 meters, continue right on Via Dietro Langhe; go straight and do not turn left or right (this is also Via Dietro Langhe but goes to other house numbers) and continue until the end. There you will see the sign of our agriturismo on the right-hand side and the indication of Via Dietro Langhe with house number 19. Drive slowly up the unpaved path and after about 800 meters you will reach us.

There is a charging station for electric cars at the town hall of Cravanzana.
